Implant Profile

Profile, also called projection, is commonly classified as “low,” “moderate,” and “high.”  The main reason to consider an implant’s profile has to do with a woman’s body type.  An implant with a wide base might work well in a woman with a large frame; however, that same implant might bring the breast area too close to a woman’s armpit in a woman with a smaller frame.   However, to create a similar look for both women, the woman with the smaller frame could select an implant with a narrow base but a higher profile.  Your surgeon can make suggestions about the best option for a natural look for your body type and goals.
